The Academic and Examination Board (AEB)

The Academic and Examination Board is the governing body at Wise Oaks International School that manages the academic quality of the school's curriculum and oversees developing the examination and assessment procedures at the school. There are currently four members on the board.

The duties of the AEB include:

The Academic Board of a WISE OAKS shall have the following responsibilities:

(a) To develop and review the policies and procedures on all academic matters of the private education institution, including but not limited to academic quality assurance measures; and
(b) To facilitate the implementation of and compliance with such policies and procedures.
(c) To develop a set of standards to ensure the academic quality of every course to be offered or provided by the private education institution, including but not limited to -
(i) the content of the modules or subjects of the course;

(ii) the duration of the course; and

(iii) the appropriate entry and graduation requirements;
(d) Approve each person to be deployed to teach any course offered or provided by the private education institution or any module or subject thereof, after determining that the person possesses the minimum qualifications and experience and other criteria prescribed in regulation 26; and
(e) Review the policies and procedures referred to in paragraph (3) at least once a year.

The Examination Board of a private education institution shall have the responsibility to develop examination and assessment procedures for the private education institution, including but not limited to -

(a) The security of examination scripts and answer scripts;
(b) The conduct of examinations and assessments;
(c) The duties and responsibilities of invigilators and markers;
(d) The moderation of examination and assessment marks; and
(e) The handling of appeals from students with regard to examination or assessment matters.

Ms. Rajni Parasher

Chair AEB and Principal

Chair of Academic and Examination Board, Ms. Rajni also serves as Principal of the School. Ms. Rajni holds a Master's degree in Commerce and a degree in Education. A passionate educator, she brings in more than 3 decades of leadership and teaching expertise in various international curricula viz. CBSE, IGCSE and International Baccalaureate.

Ms. Anita Narayan

Member AEB and Head Of School
(Bukit Timah Campus)

Besides being a member of the Academic and Examination Board. Anita also serves as Manager of the School and Head of School (Bukit Timah Campus). She has over 17 years of experience with International Schools in Singapore in leadership and individual contributor roles. She has a master's degree in Microbiology (Distinction). She also holds a Cambridge International Diploma for teachers and trainers (CIDTT).

Ms. Payal Jain

With over 22 years of experience in education, Ms. Jain has expertise in leadership and quality improvement. She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), the prestigious Cambridge International Certification in Educational Leadership (CICEL), and a Gold Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP). With more than 10 years of leadership experience, she excels in managing projects, driving innovation, and ensuring academic excellence. As Head of School and a dedicated AEB member, she plays a pivotal role in shaping policies, fostering innovation, and upholding the highest academic standards.

Ms. Amrita Ghosal Mukherjee

An accomplished Biology and Science educator with 15 years of experience in teaching both International and Indian curricula. Proficient in handling ICSE and ISC board examinations, as well as school assessments, ensuring students achieve academic excellence. Additionally, possesses over six years of experience as a school coordinator, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. Adept at curriculum planning, student mentoring, and fostering an engaging learning environment. Passionate about inspiring young minds and committed to delivering high-quality education. Dedicated to continuous professional growth and innovative teaching methodologies.

Ms. Lakshminarayanan Nagalakshmi

Ms. Nagalakshmi is a dedicated member of the Academic and Examination Board, as well as the Senior Coordinator of Wise Oaks International School, Bukit Timah Campus. With over 15 years of extensive experience in international education in Singapore, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence and operational efficiency. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutritional science. Pedagogically she holds a Bachelor of Education degree and also the prestigious Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT)
