Han Thong Kwang

Mr Han Thong Kwang has a strong background, global experience and depth of knowledge in the technology industry. With nearly 30 years of experience, Mr. Han held various senior management roles in manufacturing operations, R&D, and had worldwide product-line responsibilities. He was the Vice President of Business Printing Division of Hewlett-Packard Company for 14 years. In that role, he was responsible for developing and launching of the division’s products and solutions, and driving its businesses worldwide. He was also responsible for setting up and running the printing R&D centers in Singapore, China and India for 3 years. Mr. Han currently sits on the board of Venture Corporation Limited as an Independent Non-executive Director.

On the personal front, Mr. Han is very active in humanitarian programs. He has been very involved in initiatives focusing on improving the living conditions of Tibetans in remote part of Qinghai Province, China. Such programs include the building and running of a local hospital in a remote village; organizing multiple medical missions by bringing doctors from Singapore, Thailand and China to treat the local villagers; organizing multiple medical trainings and exchanges with the local medical practitioners; and building accommodations for displaced Tibetan nuns. He is also involved in similar programs in Sri Lanka with a focus on helping students from poor families. In Singapore, Mr. Han has been very active working with NUS Mind Science Centre, participating and volunteering in their Age Well Everyday (AWE) program, focusing on the overall wellbeing of the elderly Singaporeans.

Mr Han holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore.
