Rakesh Kumar

Rakesh Kumar is Senior Director of Engineering at Skyworks, Singapore, where he is responsible for design and development of novel microfabrication technologies for the Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS). Prior to joining Skyworks, he was in-charge of sensors technology development at Vanguard International Semiconductors and GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Singapore. From 1994-2010, he was with A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics, Singapore, where he has been actively involved in training and mentoring of students pursuing a career in microelectronics.

He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2008. He has served as member of organizing committees as well as advisory boards of several technical conferences and has authored and co-authored more than 100 research publications and holds 15 patents.
