WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Withdrawal Policy

WISE OAKS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (Wise Oaks) has in place a fair and reasonable withdrawal policy.

A. The Withdrawal Policy covers the following areas:

a) Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course

1. Wise Oaks will notify the student within three (3) working days upon the knowledge of any of the following:

  • It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date.
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date.
  • It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date.
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date.
  • It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry requirement and is suitable for admission into Wise Oaks.

2. Wise Oaks will provide the student with alternative course arrangement within seven (7) working days of notifying the student in writing of the above circumstances that will allow the student to make a timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangements.

b) Withdrawal due to other reasons

If the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause 2.1 of the standard student contract version 3.1, Parents are required to submit the withdrawal form at least two months before the effective date of withdrawal. Parents can submit the official withdrawal form to the Manager, Admissions.

c) Withdrawal during cooling off period

If the Student submits the notice of withdrawal to the school within the cooling-off period of seven (7) days after signing of the contract by both the parties, Wise Oaks will process the withdrawal within the seven (7) working days after submission of the withdrawal request.

B. Withdrawal Procedure:

For all withdrawal requests:

  • official withdrawal form, together with all supporting documents, must be submitted at least two months in advance to the Manager, Admissions
  • Withdrawal request will be verified and approved by School Management prior to further processing
  • If Student is entitled to any refunds, the Finance department will process the refund within seven (7) working days of Wise Oaks receiving the student's written notice of withdrawal.

The withdrawal policy is clearly communicated to all Students via student contract, student handbook and Wise Oaks Student Management System. During the pre-course counselling stage, prospective students and their parents are briefed about the withdrawal policy and procedures by the Admissions officer. Conditions under which either Wise Oaks or the Student's parents may choose to terminate the course agreement are stated clearly in the Student Contract.

The payment liabilities and/or any refund entitlements under each of these conditions are also stated in the Student Contract.
