WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal Procedures

The withdrawal policy and procedures are clearly communicated to all prospective students and their parents during the pre-course counselling stage by the Admissions Officer. The Admissions Officer will also address any queries that prospective students may have.

  • Upon acceptance into Wise Oaks, the student’s parents will sign the Student Contract which clearly states the conditions of premature contract termination as well as the fees that may or may not be refunded under such conditions.
  • The various conditions under which either Wise Oaks or the student’s parents may choose to terminate the course agreement are stated clearly in the Student Contract. The payment liabilities and/or any refund entitlements under each of these conditions are also stated in the Student Contract.
  • For all withdrawal requests, a written application at least 2 months in advance must be sent to the Principal / Head of School with a copy to the advisory teacher. The applications are to be verified and confirmed by the authorities prior to further processing. Once a withdrawal request is confirmed, the finance officer will be notified to process the refund if any.
  • The finance officer is responsible for ensuring that the student is entitled to a refund, before proceeding with any refund processing with the bank. Refunds, when entitled to, will be done within seven (7) working days of Wise Oaks receiving the student’s written notice.

Staff dealing with admissions, Student affairs and finance are conversant with Wise Oaks’s withdrawal procedures and demonstrate strict adherence.

Informing Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) of any change to the status of the Student's Pass (STP), if applicable

The school is obliged to lodge an e-cancellation for students on a Student Pass with the Immigration Checkpoints Authority (ICA) within 7 days of the date that enrolment for a student at the school ceases.

The school will take the Withdrawal Notice email as instructions from the parents to cancel the student’s Student Pass where applicable.

The reason for withdrawal is mandatory as this information will have to be submitted to ICA. The student should surrender the Student’s Pass identity card either at ICA or at the checkpoint when leaving Singapore.

ICA will grant the student a Social Visit Pass which will allow the student to remain in Singapore for up to 30 days after the Student Pass is cancelled.
